FOI: Can a suicide bomber kill 1000 people ?

Well, not always. But it seems certain that a suicide-bomber scare can !
This is what happened when around a 1000 pilgrims were drowned and killed and around 850 injured in a stampede on a bridge in northern Baghdad. The chaos began when rumors of an imminent suicide bombing spread thro' more than 1million Shi'ite muslim pilgrims in the capital.
No investment in military equipments. No armed forces. And no actual suicide bomber required. Just a rumor, and this is the fate. Such an event could happen anywhere in the world, we should not forget. I pity the state the world is in today.
